Steven Rezansoff

One of our newer directors, Steven, joined the gfcu Board of Directors in 2015. Growing up in Grand Forks and attending GFSS, Steven graduated from Vancouver Community College to obtain his Electronics Certificate. Throughout his 38-year career, he continuously worked on furthering his education in the telecommunications industry. Through his work with companies like BCTel and TELUS, he experienced an array of training and learning opportunities. His passion for continued education is a great fit for our Board, as continuous education and training is essential for successful governance among credit unions. Steven has completed all required professional development courses, as well as several optional courses as a gfcu director.

Due to his local roots, Steven has been a member of gfcu since attending Perley Elementary School. He has a technologically oriented mind, but also holds strong ties to the traditions and history of the gfcu. Always keeping busy, Steven serves on the Member Community Relations Committee, the Audit and Operational Risk Committee, the Conduct Review Committee, and the Nominations Committee.

Beyond his work on the gfcu board, Steven has volunteered on the Sion Improvement District Board of Directors for 14 years and is an active member of the Telecommunication Workers Union as Secretary Treasurer.

He and his wife Teresa retired in 2019 with the immediate goal of spending more time with their two (soon to be three) grandchildren.
