Daniel Drexler

Daniel moved to Grand Forks in 1998 from Germany and has lived here, serving as a member of the gfcu, ever since. After high school, he worked as an IT consultant in the Boundary area for 15 years, after which he joined the City of Grand Forks in 2015, where he currently works as the Corporate Officer and Manager of Information Technology.

Besides holding numerous high-level technology certificates, Daniel has obtained local government accreditations. He now holds a Certificate in Local Government Administration, has obtained Certified Municipal Clerk status from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks, and has recently received a Certificate in Local Government Service Delivery from the BC Board of Examiners.

In the past, Daniel supported the Grand Forks Chamber and Community Futures as a board member. Nowadays, his City role sees him supporting various groups, including the Grand Forks Social Services Action Group and the Discover Grand Forks subcommittee of the Boundary Country Regional Chamber of Commerce.

In Daniel’s spare time, he actively enjoys the countryside with his partner Bronwen, who currently works as an Administrator/Registrar at Gallery 2. Daniel and the mother of his children, Brandie, co-parent their two sons, who attend the local schools.
